    Announcements!

    MS Cadet Teachers – You will not report to your middle school teacher this week due to OAA Testing.

    Bell Schedule – Reminder we are on a different bell schedule this week due to middle school testing.

    Attention PTO Seniors – See Mr. Van Huss to receive a copy of the scholarship essay prompt. Winners of the essay contest must have completed their 10 hours of PTO service to be eligible.

    Seniors – Please bring in your pictures for the Senior Slideshow and give them to Kaitlyn Waters by May 15th on a disk or flash drive.

    Cheerleader Meeting – There will be a brief cheerleader meeting on May 7th in the high school auditeria immediately after school for anyone in grades 6 to 11 wanting to try out for 2013-2014. All debts and uniforms/poms must be returned by May 1st or you will not be permitted to tryout, and you will be placed on the debt list. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Donna Jennings.

    Thank You! – To all the staff and parents that helped out with Prom and After Prom, they were both a great success! And a special thanks to all the Juniors and Seniors that attended with their guests, once again your behavior was great and you represented us well.

    Prom 2013!

    Prom and After-Prom were a great success!!! A special thanks to all the hardwork of staff, students, and parents that not only made this night possible but also safe and fun. Here are a few pictures from Prom at “The Center” downtown.

    Seniors – Local scholarship applications are due back Friday, April 26.

    Attention PTO Seniors – See Mr. Van Huss to receive a copy of the scholarship essay prompt. Winners of the essay contest must have completed their 10 hours of PTO service to be eligible.

    Night of the Arts – Will be April 25 from 7:30-9pm. Please contact Mr. Van Huss if you would like to help out or participate in this event.

    2013 Jr./Sr. Prom – Will be this Friday, April 26th, at The Center(115 E. Fifth Street, Cincinnati, Ohio) from 8pm to 12 midnight. Only emergency cases will be allowed to purchase tickets this week. If you have a ticket and are on the list you will be released at 1pm on Friday, 4/26. You must arrive at Prom by 8:30pm and will not be permitted to leave before 11:30pm. Directions are available in the office.

    After Prom – Is collecting 2 liters of pop, donate one 2 liter and earn a $5 auction voucher, donate five 2 liters and earn a $50 auction voucher. You can bring them to the office.

    After Prom Sign-up – If you plan to attend after prom, please sign up in the office. We need your name and shirt size for items that will be given out at after prom.

    Congratulations – To Stevie McCann and Devon Denune on their singles tennis victories over Bethel last night.

    Congratulations – To the following track members for their performance at the Western Brown Invitational last night: 2nd Place-Arica Stutz high jump, and Crissy Paskow 800 meter run; 1st Place-Arica Stutz 100 and 300 meter hurdles, Crissy Paskow 1600 meter run. Crissy Paskow re-set the school record in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:45. Arica Stutz set a new Western Brown meet record in the 300 meter hurdles and won the athlete of the meet. The next meet is Monday at CNE.

    What’s New at FFHS!

    Monsanto

    Congratulations to FFA on being the recipient of a $2500 grant from Monsanto! Every dollar counts in helping us provide students with the FFA experiences that continue to grow and expand it’s success! Congratulations!

    Child abuse team with principal Robert Walker Felicity

    April is Child Abuse Awareness month and last week Felicity-Franklin High School hosted a panel of experts to speak with Junior and Senior students about understanding child abuse, strategies for prevention, dealing with frustration, and the consequences and responsibilities for parents. Feedback from students was positive and I believe beneficial for them as future parents.

The cost is $37 for Juniors and any guests, all Felicity Seniors will be free but must pick up a ticket. Juniors and Seniors must purchase their guest’s tickets and all non-Felicity guests must have a guest form returned by Tuesday, 4/23. Forms are available in the office and on our webpage.
